Real-time weekly auction data from the largest property group in Australasia 05.09.2021
Our internal data shows that our sellers who proceeded to take their property to sell under the hammer last week were rewarded with a sale price over 11.75 per cent higher than the best offer prior.
Data shows on average there were 7.5 average registered bidders per lot nationally last week. The highest number of registered bidders nationally was 25 buyers competing for 41 Roseanne Road, Manurewa, Manukau City.
Auctions under the current restrictions continue to delight and impress nationwide. Regions outside of Auckland and Waikato have maximised their relative freedoms to transact in level 2 and the results have been impressive.
Auction bookings are up 86 per cent since the level 2 announcement and Canterbury is one of the regions leading the charge. Nationwide we are still seeing remarkable auction success rates of 85 per cent, showing buyers motivation to secure and along with the lowest stock levels seen in some 20 years this is resulting in unprecedented prices. Never has there been more evidence to take your property to the market and maximise the return on your asset through the auction process.
Lockdown restrictions in Auckland are doing little to dent the enthusiasm shown by buyers and sellers in the market with record setting prices being reported and the easing of the viewings per day restrictions have been a welcome relief to all of us. As the country’s largest market slowly moves towards relative normality in ability to transact, Ray White’s prodigious virtual auction process will continue to deliver results and provide an exciting platform heading into the Spring and Summer markets.
